Ordering and Preorders
How do I place a preorder?
Navigate to our Products section, select the vinyl you want, click "More Info," then select "Preorder." Fill in your details and click "Submit Preorder." We'll contact you to confirm your order and provide payment details.
When will my preorder arrive?
Delivery times vary depending on product availability. For preorder items, we will provide an estimated delivery timeframe when we confirm your order. International shipping typically takes two to four weeks.
Can I cancel my preorder?
Yes, preorders can be cancelled before payment is processed. Once payment is received and the order is placed with our supplier, cancellations may not be possible. Please contact us immediately if you need to cancel.
What payment methods do you accept?
Dealers accept bank transfers (EFT), credit/debit cards, and other payment methods which we will discuss during order confirmation. All payments are processed securely.
Shipping and Delivery
Do you ship internationally within South Africa?
Yes. Our dealers ship to all provinces in South Africa. Shipping costs vary by location and will be calculated during order confirmation. See our Shipping page for more details.
How are vinyl records packaged?
All vinyl records are packaged with premium protective materials including cardboard mailers, bubble wrap, and corner protectors to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. We take special care with these valuable audiophile pressings.
What if my vinyl arrives damaged?
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will arrange for a replacement or refund at no cost to you. See our Returns Policy for details.
Can I track my order?
Your dealer provide tracking information for all shipments. You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order has been dispatched.

What is Direct Metal Mastering (DMM)?

Do I need special equipment to play audiophile vinyl?
While these records will sound excellent on any turntable, you will experience their full potential with a quality turntable, properly aligned cartridge, and good speakers or headphones. The better your equipment, the more you will appreciate the exceptional sound quality.
Vinyl Care
How should I store my vinyl records?
Store records vertically (never flat) in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep them in their inner and outer sleeves. For comprehensive care instructions, visit our Vinyl Care Guide.
How do I clean my vinyl records?
Use a carbon fibre brush before each play to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, use a vinyl cleaning solution with a microfibre cloth, cleaning in a circular motion following the grooves. Never use household cleaners. See our detailed cleaning guide.
Should I remove the shrink wrap?
Yes, remove the shrink wrap to prevent warping over time. However, many collectors keep the shrink wrap with hype stickers on it as part of the collectible value. Store removed shrink separately if desired.
Returns and Policies
What is your return policy?
Your dealer will accept returns within 14 days of delivery for unopened items in original condition. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item is defective. Full details on our Returns page.
Can I return an opened vinyl?
Opened items can only be returned if they are defective or damaged. Please contact us within 48 hours if you discover a defect, and we will arrange a replacement.

Where can I purchase Stockfisch Records in South Africa?
Stockfisch Records are available through this website and through our premium reseller, Ear Candy Records. You can preorder directly from us or contact Ear Candy Records for immediate availability.
Are these original pressings from Germany?
Yes, all our vinyl records are original pressings directly from Stockfisch Records Schallplatten. We are the official South African distributor.
